Haemodialysis services in the Faroe Islands
 
The National Hospital has a modern Dialysis Unit.
The Dialysis Unit is located on the third floor of Building G in quite new and modern facilities.

Opening hours
Monday, Wednesday and  Friday from 8 am - 10 pm

Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 8 am -  4 pm  
 
The unit offers haemodialysis and heamodiafiltration services.  Highly-skilled nurses provide treatment and the unit is directed by Dr. Torkil á Steig, clinical nephrologist. The staff speaks both Danish and English. 
 
The Dialysis Unit offers its services for visitors** to the Faroes.  The daily fee is 2.537 DKK. 

**Please Note:  Individuals covered under the bilateral, hospital services agreement with Denmark are exempt from the service fee.
